As a dermatologist, my focus has always been on evidence-based medicine and safe, effective treatments for skin health. Over time, I realised that many patients were looking for something that the current beauty market often lacked: a trusted space where medical expertise and holistic wellness truly come together.
That inspired me to create SSKINS. It fills the gap between clinical dermatology and conventional beauty spas, offering results-driven treatments supported by science, but delivered in a nurturing, luxurious environment. Patients today want more than a one-off solution. They are seeking long-term maintenance, prevention and integrative care for their skin, scalp and overall confidence.
With this new medispa on Tanglin Road, my goal is to provide exactly that: a destination where people know they’re receiving professional, medically grounded care while also enjoying a restorative experience that today’s beauty landscape has yet to fully provide.
Our relationship with SkinCeuticals in Singapore has grown organically over the years. At Angeline Yong Dermatology, I’ve worked extensively with the brand’s formulations because they are backed by rigorous science and clinical research – values that align perfectly with my own practice philosophy.
When I began developing SSKINS, I wanted to ensure that the treatments we offered were not only pampering but also results-driven and grounded in proven efficacy. SkinCeuticals was a natural fit. My approach has evolved over time. Early in my career, I focused primarily on treating medical skin conditions. But I’ve come to realise that beauty and wellness extend beyond correction – they’re also about prevention, maintenance and balance.
Today, I emphasise a more holistic and sustainable approach. Beauty is not just how the skin looks on the surface, but also about strengthening the skin barrier, supporting long-term health and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. This philosophy is what shaped SSKINS: a place that marries medical dermatology with relaxing, results-driven treatments, offering clients the best of both clinical science and restorative care.
I’m looking forward to taking this 360-degree approach further by integrating nutritional health, as gut health plays an important role in skin health. I’m also passionate about restorative wellness and hope to one day curate a retreat or hotel that creates not just unique personal journeys and memories, but also focuses on holistic healing, wellbeing and skin longevity.
I try to be good with my skincare routine at home. But sometimes my skin just feels flat and needs a proper reset. After a recent trip to Europe, it was feeling dry, rough and a little lifeless.
